Weekly Photo Challenge

Alright, this week we're going to find photos of things you enjoy doing in the summer indoors.  

Sometimes it's just to hot to go outside in Las Vegas in the summertime.  So, we try to get creative when thinking of things to do during the day inside.  Here's a few...playing the piano, and reading books.  After trying to find photos for this challenge I realize that I need to take more indoor pictures...especially of the everyday things we do.

 
 

July kits shipping today!

Yea, the kits are out the door today!  Keep your eyes peeled the next couple of days for your box of goodies.  I've been able to play with some of the product this week and am enjoying the quiet time I've had to scrapbook.  I have to take advantage of it when I can because I don't get quite time very often!

Shannon's favorite technique

My favorite technique is distressing. I love to grunge things up....the one thing I always find myself doing is distressing the outer edges of my papers....to do this, I open my scissors and scrape away at the outer edges of my paper until I find my desired distressed-ness! I also feel the need to ink these edges afterwards, otherwise it doesn't feel quite finished.

Design Team Intro-Shannon Morgan

 

Hi, my name is Shannon Morgan. I am a Northern girl living in the South......that takes some getting used to, but I'm not going to complain about being able to wear flip flops in March, but ask me again in the summer.....! I am a stay at home mom and I am very thankful to be. I have two crazy, yet loveable kiddos and two dogs....one of which who thinks she's a little person trapped in a dog body.....they all keep the house colorful, loud and busy. There's never a lull! I am glad though, I can't imagine life without them. I have a husband who is strangely supportive of my need to create.

Speaking of creating and scrapping......I scrap for sanity, I scrap for Patrick and Mackenzie in hopes that they'll see that I really did LOVE them and all the no's, go to your room's and because I said so's will melt away. I want them to remember all the fun things we did even if it's just looking at clouds or eating cookies. I think that's what life is all about really, isn't it?

Weekly Photo Challenge

This week's photo challenge is to find some photos of a fun summer trip you've taken.  

This summer our family went on a road trip to Missouri...Taking a 4 year old, 2 year old and 5 month old on a road trip half way across the United States might be crazy, but we had a lot of fun stopping at places along the way.  Some of our favorites were Roswell, Carlsbad Caverns, the Meteor Crater, and Silver Dollar City.
