Does anyone feel overwhelmed over how many digital photos you have? I do!!!! One thing I love about my mac computer is the photo program iPhoto. At the bottom of the screen it tells you how many photos you have on your computer. A couple of days ago I decided I needed to finally print some pictures over the last couple of years. When I went in to chose the pictures I wanted to print I thought it wouldn't take very long until I saw how many I had...23,689!!! Yes, you read that right...how am I ever going to get all those pictures scrapbooked?
This is my solution...
1. Start with the most recent events...get those memory sticks out and download your pictures onto your computer! My mom takes as many pictures as I do, but she leaves all the pictures on her memory stick. Make sure you put them on your computer, because if you're like me you'll lose the memory stick...and your pictures!
2. Pick your favorite pictures from each event and either print them from home or upload them online and get them printed at your favorite location...I like Costco.com, and walgreens.com because you can upload your pictures to get printed at the nearest location then you can usually pick them up an hour later. My favorite thing to do is upload my pictures directly from iPhoto to apple and have them mail the pictures to me for a small shipping cost. This takes less time to upload the photos, and as long as I don't need them right away they deliver them right to your door a few days later!
3. Now comes the fun part...Get those pictures in a scrapbook. I've decided that I'm going to get one layout done a week for the entire year starting next week. If I can stick to that schedule that's 41 layouts done by the end of the year! If anyone would to join me in the challenge I'd love it! Each week I'll be posting a layout I've created! Wish me luck!
