{I Spy} Interactive Albums!

Okay now lets be honest, who has time to scrapbook all of the time...if you do please don't tell me I don't what to be jealous.  But who doesn't like giving amazing handmade gifts so that everyone can tell you how creative you are?!!  Well I have great news!!  Our interactive albums are the PERFECT gift.  They might look complicated,  but I am here to tell ya that you can do it...our Slide Book (#159)and Hide and Seek Flap Book (#148) come with templates to help you make all of the right cuts. Below is the Slide book using the Billy Goats Gruff Collection, there is even a 2nd Generation Barndoor on the cover.....

and our Drawbridge Book (#218) is a 6x6 album..no need for measuring for this one....ohhh and the best apart...this little baby has 18 scrap-able (is that a word??) surfaces and you only need 6 pieces of paper to cover ALL of the pages....isn't that AWESOME!!  The collection being used below is Itsy Bitsy Spider....

This was taken from Scrapbook Memories in Australia....It was so fun to see our very own Brandon Brazel's talents in this magizine.  Talk about a gorgeous layout...and the pictures....those girls are so dang cute....they are of course, Brandon's daughter Mary-Cameron and my little one, Madelyn!!!  They are such good buddies.  ohhh..the reason that I say my {I Spy} was easy was because I really didn't have to look to hard to see her cute face on the COVER!!!  Brandon just loves that glitter paper from the Belle Collection... well I am off to CHA Summer in HOT HOT Florida but I am thinking that we have some fun things coming up on the blog while we are away!! Stay tuned!!

A Barndoor Tip

 

“Love at First Sight” By Ruth Clarke

Barndoor Tip:  Everyone always wonders how to use a Barndoor on a layout, so Ruth has given us an idea.  Since the Barndoors are interactive they are tricky to include on a layout if you use page protectors.  Ruth decided to make the Barndoor into a tag.  First she applied the rubon “Love” and then attached a brad to the Barndoor.  She then adhered cardstock paper behind the Barndoor and trimmed around the edges.  Then, she journaled onto the cardstock paper.  She then slid the Barndoor behind the photo.  Once the page was completed she inserted the page into the page protector.  Using a craft knife, she cut where the Barndoor could slide in and out.  This allows the person viewing the page to read the journaling without having to take the page out of the page protector.

“I Spy” Thursday (a little late)

Hello!! Hello!!  I am just getting back into town after spending a little time in Texas at the Great American Scrapbook Convention.  I had such a great time…those Texas ladies sure know how to shop.  It was so much fun meeting so many of our PTA members ( Piggy  Tales Academy) and also meeting some new ones!!!  This was our second year in Arlington and it was fun seeing some “old friends”  Our classes that we are teaching this year are sooo awesome, they are using the newest products and of course using our build a rubons that are featured in

 

 

The July Issue of Scrapbooks Etc in Polly/s CHA picks.  As many of you already know, Big Sister Brandon is the one that is responsible for the hand writing on these little babies!  I know, it makes me sick too, but we have all taken advantage of her talents when it comes to wedding invitations, basically anything hand written!!!  Well I hope that you all have a great weekend….I plan on catching up on Lily’s baby book….
