This week I have been on the "lookout" for fall layouts. I have been thinking alot about the Thanksgiving Meal, don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to it. But with a growing child taking up most of my room, I am worried about not being able to consume all the yummy food!! I am also excited that I will be hosting my very first Thanksgiving Meal at my new house! Coming from a large family, the holidays are aways so much fun, and when {I Spy} this layout with 3 sisters in Scrapbook and Cards Today,
I couldn't resist sharing. With 2 sisters of my own, I thought about how fun it will be for my daughter to have a little sister and all of the fun that they are going to have. I was able to take time and think about how grateful I am for my sisters (and thanks to my big brother, a Sister-in-law)and the fun that I have with them when we are all together for the holidays. This is one of the reasons that I love scrapbooking, looking at my own or someones elses layouts, bring up feelings and memories. This layout is by Tara Thynne using Goldilocks & the 3 Bears Collection, which by the way, is 50% right now in the online store!!
Have A Great Week!

Well, we're back from Disney World and trying to catch up with everything. We had such a great time, but I need a vacation from my vacation. Fortunately, I have a FUN trip planned with the girls to scrapbook for a few days. I'm embarrassed to say how long it's been since I've actually scrapbooked a page for my own book. We're also going to the opening night of TWILIGHT! I can't wait!!
Here's what our contest is for November. Please submit a greeting card representing this "Thanksgiving" season using 80% Piggy Tales' product. Submissions must be in the form of a link on your blog or an online gallery. Please email the link to me at trina@piggytales.com. Three submissions will be featured on this blog in December.
Enjoy this season with friends and family!

Having just had my birthday earlier this month, I thought that it would be a good time to share a birthday card. Wishing that it was my sweet sixteen, well, we will just save that for another blogging day!! So this week, {I Spy}.....Alisa Bangerter in the New Card Creations Volume 6, using Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star Collection, iSee-Bright and Bold paper, and of course, our Awarding Winning Barndoors…hint hint…the iPod is the actual barndoor! How fun is that??? And using fabric covered wire, she has made the iPod look like it actual has a cord!!! Making cards make me happy….so spread the joy and make a card today!!
Have A Great Day!

Okay- so this week I have "the next generation" on my mind! Maybe it is because so many members of the next generation are out voting today, because my little "nephew generation" is touring Disney World without their Auntie this week, because I am feeling guilty for eating the last piece of chocolate out of my daughter's trick-or-treat stash while she is at school :O .....OR MAYBE.... it is because I found out that I will be ADDING to the next generation this summer-YES! I am pregnant!! We could not be more thrilled with this news!!
So, of course I was able to *somehow* find a product to go with all the news of the week! ;) You have heard about the award- winning Barndoors, seen them featured in Creating Keepsakes as a top product, and now...after much anticipation- The 2nd generation has arrived!!! The concept of the 2nd generation Barndoors has not changed-you use them as an interactive embellishment piece on layouts, cards, tags, to "hide" journaling and photos under. But are they eVer JUST as cool as you would expect a newer generation to be!
The 2nd Generation Barndoors are chipboard frames and doors (6 per package) that you can quickly and easily cover with any manufacturer's paper (but they look ESPECIALLY great with Piggy Tales ;) wink!) After you have covered the frame and door, then you choose one of the 7 SeLf adhesive hinges to complete the Barndoor. I LOVE that the hinges are self adhesive- and they stick GREAT! Most metal products in the industry require a special glue or a screw driver...but for the 2nd generation barndoors, just peel and stick! YAY!
BEFORE: although, you actually won't adhere the hinge until you put the paper on ;)
AFTER:
COMPLETED ON A LAYOUT:
Piggy Tales 2nd Generation Barndoors are sold in a pack of 6 (with 7 self adhesive hinges) for $5.99. We just got more in stock and they are ready for YOU to preserve special memories for YOUR next generation!
