"I Love You" Layout

Other Product Needed: glitter, (2) small and (1) med. self adhesive rhinestones

Background: 12”x12” #201 Black Hill (solid black side)

Cut the following pieces from #205 Valiant Soldier (stripe/solid red)
4” x 4” solid red
4” x 6 ½” stripe
½” x 10 ½” stripe
½” x 6” stripe
1” x 6” solid red
1” x 4” solid red

Sand the edges and round the top right corner of the 4” x 4” solid red and adhere approx. 1” from right edge of background. Sand the edge and round the bottom right corner of the 4” x 6 ½” stripe and adhere below the 4” x 4” solid red. Use decorative scissors on the edges of the 1”x 6” and 1” x 4” solid red pieces. Cross 2 staples on both ends of the 1” x 4” piece to the top edge of the background. Cross 2 staples on both ends of the 1” x 6 ½” piece to the right edge of the 4” x 6 ½” stripe. Adhere a 4” x 6” photo to line up with the top edge of the 4” x 4” solid red. Adhere ½” x 6” stripe below 4” x 6” photo. Adhere 2” x 6” photo below ½” x 6” stripe. Adhere 3” x 6” photo 1/2” below the 2” x 6” photo. Adhere ½” x 10 ½” stripe to left edge of the photos.

Embellishments:
Adhere 10 ½” red polka dot ribbon to the left edge of the ½” x 10 ½” stripe (leaving a little space). Adhere black scallop frame from chipboard shapes to 4” x 4” solid red (leaving room for the letters). Use pencil to trace the heart onto the solid red. Outline the heart with thick and thin black pen. Fill in the heart with glitter. Punch out the “I” and “u” chipboard letters. Adhere the med. rhinestone to the dot of the “I”. Adhere the “I”. Cut a 2” piece of gray ric-rac and tie onto the “u”. Pop dot the “u” (overlapping the black scallop frame). Adhere small rhinestones to the white and red photo anchor chipboard shapes. Adhere the white photo anchor to the bottom photo and the red photo anchor to the top photo.

Tip: I didn’t have photos that coordinated with the pattern paper, so I changed them to black and white. Since I used baby photos I softened the black and white tint.
