supplies:
Bazzill cardstock.
Piggy Tales 5 little ducks one day patterned paper, 5 little ducks rubon shapes, build-a rubons, cardstock letter stickers.
EK success brad.
Scotch/3M adhesives.

instructions.
use scalloped edge scissors to cut tops of two strips of one day patterned paper and place on bottom of card base.
use rubon dashes to create a splash above the patterned paper leaving room to apply rubon frog.
add rubon greeting.
cut a small bowtie from paper, add a brad in center and place on frog.

Supplies:

Beauty & The Beast papers, cardstock stickers and rubons. Pig Tail.

Adhesive: Scotch 3M tape runner, glue stick, mounting tape
Other: Core'dinations cardstock, Digital cluster frame by Katie Pertiet (www.designerdigitals.com <http://www.designerdigitals.com> )

1 page 12x12 layout
1. Print journaling 3 inches down from top of the page. Print digital cluster frame photos.
2. Cut 9x7 block of Bete (orange) paper and layer photo on top. Adhere to center of page below journaling.
3. Add title to top right and lower left corners of the center block. Embellish with rubon
4. Cut mittens from patterned papers, Belle and Reine. Mount left side mitten with 3M mounting tape and right side mitten with Pig Tail.
5. Trim .25 inch from all sides of the cardstock and mount on Chateau (purple) paper.
Tip: Print your photos directly onto cardstock for a fun, canvas effect. Your focal photo will pop if add a version printed with photo paper.

Product Spotlight: Cardstock Letter Stickers

Cardstock letter stickers give you the pliability and depth of cardstock with the ease of use of a sticker. They come precut and ready to stick to just abut anything. Here is an example by Paula Gilarde of how these little letters can add some punch to your design;

• 3M Scotch Scrapbookers 2 way glue
• 3 M Scotch tape runner 
• # 415- Down Paper
• # 417 – Stream paper
• # 418 - Dream
• # 420 -  Life Glitter paper
• # 421 – Gently Glitter Paper
• # 423 – Build a Rub on
• # 425 – Chipboard Shapes
• # 428 – Epoxy letters
• # 429 - Epoxy Shapers
• Other –, Black DMC thread for sewing lines,
• 2 Sheets of White Cardstock – 12” x 12“
• Black ink

 

Instructions:

• Cut 2 strips of paper from the # 421 Gently Glitter paper - size- 3 ½” x 12” and ink the edges.
• Adhere these two strips of patterned paper to the bottom of each side of the 2 page layout (see photo)
• Cut 2 pieces of paper size 9 ½ ” x 8 ½ ”  from # 415 Down paper  and adhere to both sides start from the centres. See photo for reference.
• Cut a strip – size 1 ¾” x 7” from the reverse side of #415 Down paper and ink the edges. Adhere it to the left side of your layout for your title strip. Adhere a chipboard book label too on this strip for part of your title work. See photo for reference.
• Using #428 Epoxy Letters add your title down the left –hand side of your layout.
• Arrange and adhere your photos across the 2 sides of your double layout and add a ¾” strip of #418 Dream Paper on the top and bottom of your photos. See photo for reference.
• Add your journaling strip down the right side of the layout.
• Finally decorate your layout with flowers from the # 420 Life Glitter Paper, cut outs from the # 417 Stream Paper (flippers and goggles)
• Add some phrases from the  #423 Build a Rub on set, on the bottom border section underneath each photo.

Tips & Tricks by Wendy Johnson

 Well, there's not any tips or tricks from me this week, just a very Merry Christmas from me to you, my blog friends!  I hope all of you are safe, warm and surrounded by those you love this festive holiday season.  I want to thank all of you for stopping by this little blog throughout the past 4 months I have been a part of the cute Piggy Tales Family and I'm looking forward to a fabulous New Year with a new focus and lots of ideas to share!

Tips & Tricks by Wendy Johnson

Holiday gift giving can be a bit overwhelming with only a week left!  If you are like me and feeling the crunch, here's a very quick and simple gift idea.  There is nothing like a warm bowl of popcorn on a co-worker's desk when that 3:00 hour in the office strikes!  Or what about the very tired teacher when they have hours of grading papers in the late afternoon!  And what about the mailman, bus driver and babysitter?  They all would like to cozy up to a bowl of freshly popped popcorn!  
 
I quickly glittered up a piece of this festive red and white paper from the Yankee Doodle Dandy collection and applied the cute polka dot rub-on border from the same collection to the sentiment.  These could be mass produced very quickly and easily and will bring a bit of holiday cheer to those still left on your holiday list!
 
Oh, and by the way....my favorite popcorn is Orville Redenbacker's Kettle Corn that is 94% fat free!  Now that is what I call indulging and eating every last kernal without any guilt!  :)

Adhesive: Scotch 3M tape runner, glue stick, mounting tape

2 page 12x12 layout
1. Arrange and print photos and journaling onto cardstock (I used a digital template (Scrap Express #36 by Lynn Grieveson, www.designerdigitals.com <http://www.designerdigitals.com> )
2. Cut two .5x12 strips of Yankee (red striped paper) and position on outer edges of the photo strips.
3. Add .5x12 strip of Macaroni (circle paper) to the far left side of the layout, next to red paper.
4. Print photo with digital frame and mount onto cardstock photo strip using 3M mounting tape.
5. Adhere title letters using chipboard letters and die cut letters
6. Finish layout with a 4x3 strip of Macaroni on far right of layout, flanked by two torn strips of Stuck (blue star paper)
Tip: Add even more dimension to your layouts using Pig Tails - I inked the edges of the mitten before popping it up using a Pig Tail

What ta Do?

I couldn't pass these up when I came across them this year. These empty square glass ornaments are begging to be embellished but I am just not sure exactly how.
